Third, I used the Linux terminal app to install the Moneydance deb file with the command sudo dpkg -i moneydance_linux_b Next, I had to go install the latest/same version of Moneydance on my Mac since it was running an older version. Second, I downloaded the latest Moneydance deb file (2017.10 (1706)) to the chrome OS download folder and used the chrome OS files tool to drag/drop the deb file over to the Linux files folder. First, I enabled linux apps on the chromebook. I did this on an Acer Chromebook 14 running Chrome 70 and the Moneydance file is saved on a MacBook. There may be more ways to get Moneydance installed as a linux app on a chromebook using Dropbox to sync between two laptops, but here is what I got to work today.
